About
About this blog
Articles on coding, AI experiments, and projects, with discussions about what works, what breaks, and what I’m learning along the way.
Who writes it
I’m Shailesh, a software developer and founder of Jaaniye, an AI-powered astrology platform. This is my personal blog. I use it to write up what I learn while building software, especially with AI: what works, what breaks, and why.
What you’ll find here
Long-form articles on coding, AI experiments and projects. Most include diagrams and link to the sources behind their claims, so you can check them. Every article is listed on the home page, and there is an RSS feed.
How this blog relates to Jaaniye
The blog lives at reflections.jaaniye.com, a subdomain of my product’s website. Most articles are about general engineering and have nothing to do with Jaaniye. One, “How Jaaniye’s AI answers a question”, describes the product itself and is published by the Jaaniye Research Desk; read it as a description of our own work. The blog carries no advertising.
Until October 2026, this address hosted an earlier collection of astronomy and astrology articles. Those were retired when this blog launched: their old links now lead to the home page, and the birth-chart widget they used is on jaaniye.com.

Comments and corrections
Each article ends with a discussion. Every comment takes a stance (agree, push back, ask a question or add context), and each one is reviewed before it appears. Disagreement is welcome. Spam, abuse and other people’s personal details are not. The privacy page explains what is stored when you comment.
If an article gets something wrong, say so in the discussion or email me, and I will correct it.
